Stoney Creek, London Ontario: your questions answered

Something else on your mind? Call or text Mackenzie and Dan at 519-670-3027.

Is Stoney Creek a good place to live?

For families, yes. Stoney Creek has schools in the neighbourhood, four big parks, a YMCA with pools and a library, and homes at many price points. It is less suited to anyone who relies on transit or wants to walk downtown.

Where is Stoney Creek in London, Ontario?

It fills London's northeast corner, above Fanshawe Park Road East, with Adelaide Street North to the west and Highbury Avenue North to the east, reaching past Sunningdale Road East.

Is Stoney Creek, London the same as Stoney Creek in Hamilton?

No. They are completely different places. Ours is a residential area in northeast London. Hamilton's Stoney Creek is a big community by Lake Ontario, and its prices are not London prices.

Is Stoney Creek the same as Stoneybrook?

No. Stoneybrook is its own neighbourhood, southwest of here and below Fanshawe Park Road.

How much does a house in Stoney Creek cost?

The June 2026 median asking price was about $694,000. Houses asked anywhere between roughly $580,000 and more than $1 million, townhouses averaged around $554,000 and condos began in the low $200,000s. Ask us what has actually sold recently on the street you like.

How old are the homes in Stoney Creek?

Much of the south end went up in the 1970s and 1980s. Around and above Sunningdale Road East, most houses are from the mid 2000s onward.

    What schools serve Stoney Creek?

Two schools are right here: Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School and Stoney Creek Public School. Some students go to St. Mark Catholic School or A.B. Lucas Secondary School. Boundaries are address specific, so always confirm with the school board.

What is there to do in Stoney Creek?

The community centre has pools, a gym, an indoor track and a library. Constitution, Wenige and Stephens Farm parks offer sports fields, a spray pad and play areas, and Fanshawe Conservation Area is about 15 minutes away.

How far is Stoney Creek from Masonville?

Head about 5 km west to CF Masonville Place, around 10 minutes by car.

Is there public transit in Stoney Creek?

Buses do run here, but parts of the area see infrequent service, so most people drive. Downtown is about 40 minutes by bus or 20 by car.

    Is Stoney Creek still growing?

Yes. New subdivisions keep going up past Sunningdale Road East, such as Stoney North and 660 Sunningdale Road East.

What is the postal code for Stoney Creek?

Stoney Creek addresses use the N5X postal code prefix. Ward boundaries may change after the October 2026 election, so check the City's ward map for a specific address.
